What a great weekend of badminton!!

To everyone who entered, played, supported, baked, cooked, bought raffle tickets, umpired we are beyond thankful to you all for your continued support to our club!

We held the Melissa Keith Memorial Cup on Saturday and the Hella Weber-Doyle Memorial Cup and the Kiersey Cup on Sunday. We would like to thank Tom and Cian for coming to present trophies. It is an honour and a privilege for us to pay tribute to both Hella and Melissa every year.

Lastly we want to extend a huge thanks to the Kiersey family who have given our club unwavering support for many years! Jim, Marie and Family, we sincerely thank you.

All of the games this weekend were just thrilling, the standard was so high and it was neck and neck with lots of sets finishing at 21-20 with the dreaded call “next score wins!”. Everyone that played put on a masterclass of badminton and we want to say a huge congratulations to all of our worthy winners and finalists!!

We hope you all enjoyed the weekend just as much as we did and we hope to see you all again next year.

Runners up- Willie Stevenson and Sylvia Campion.

Well done to Eoin and Ciara who have retained the Kiersey Cup title against George and Becky.

Well done also to Garvan and Stephanie who won the plate final against Willie and Sylvia.

Mixed County Championships

Results from the F and H Mixed Co. Championships 21 February 2025.

Michael and Katie won the H Mixed

Oisin and Naoise won the F Mixed.

Well done to all who took part, great games on the night.

Munster Inter County Grade G

16 February 2025

In this Grade we had all 6 Counties take part.

It was run in two groups of 3 , and the first and second place came out of the group and played in the Semi finals.

Cork played Clare and Waterford played Kerry.

Clare and Waterford made it to the final and Waterford were the winners. President Michael McGrath had the pleasure of presenting the McGrath Cup to the Waterford Captain.
