Munster & Wexford Open 

9 January 2019

On Sunday the F, G and H Munster open took place. Well done to Carol and Fiona who were runners up in the F ladies doubles. Well done to Celine and Phoebe who won the H ladies doubles, Celine also won the H mixed with Sean Leahy and was runner up in the H singles.

On Saturday the Wexford open took place in Gorey. In the E mixed doubles final Rachel and Martin took on Natalie and her partner Stephen. Natalie and Stephen emerged victorious on the day. Well done to all club members who played over the weekend.

U-11 Co. Championships

13 January 2019

It was a busy day in Kilmacthomas on Saturday as we hosted the U-11 Co. Championships. Well done to all our club members who took part, as for many it was their first time playing competitions.

There was huge success on the day for our young players, with Lucy Jane O’Rielly completing a clean sweep in the girls events, winning the girls singles, doubles with her partner Isabelle Cloney and the mixed doubles with Conor Whelan (Blackwater).

Mary Pratt tournament in Lismore

A great day was had by all our club members who attended the Mary Pratt tournament in Lismore today. A special well done to Tess, Edel and Fabien. Tess and her partner Kevin were runners-up in the plate to Edel and her partner PJ. Fabien represented the club in this years Cup final with his partner Katie and after a very close three set final, took the runners-up spot. Well done to all our club members who took part today, and to Lismore Badminton Club for running a great tournament.

The Under 11 County Championships took place in Kilmac on Saturday and great talent was on show. Well done to all players especially the 4 players from Kilmac – Conor, Shay, Caoimhe and Ellie Mai, who all went home with silverware.
