Munster final

Huge well done to the Intercounty E team who were runners up in the Munster final yesterday (18 February 2024). Well done to the team who gave their all and played brilliantly all day. Also well done to the G team who played really well and gave 100% but lost out narrowly in the semi-final.

Well done to all the Kilmac players who represented Waterford yesterday in the D, F and H intercounty competitions.

The H team emerged victorious.

D were runners up.

F lost by the narrowest margin in the semi-final.

Thanks to all the managers, selectors and helpers who gave up their time to coach and organise these squads.

 

 

Munster Senior Closed Championships

Well done to Eoin who won the Munster Senior A men’s doubles and mixed doubles today (28 January 2024).

Last weekend (20 & 21 January 2024) was full of fantastic badminton!

To everyone who entered, played, supported, baked, bought raffle tickets, umpired we are beyond thankful to you all for contributing to our competition.

We held the Melissa Keith Memorial Cup on Saturday and the Hella Weber-Doyle Memorial Cup and the Kiersey Cup on Sunday. Both Melissa and Hella loved badminton and were the best team members we could have wished for at Kilmac and they are so dearly missed. We would like to thank Melissas family for coming to present trophies especially Tom and Cian. It was an honor and a privilege for us to pay tribute to both Hella and Melissa.

Lastly we want to extend a huge thanks to the Kiersey family who have given our club unwavering support for many years! Jim and Marie, we sincerely thank you both for everything.

All of the games last weekend were just brilliant, the standard was so high. Everyone that played put on a masterclass of badminton and we want to say a huge congratulations to all of our worthy winners and finalists!!

So that’s it for another year folks, we hope you all enjoyed the weekend just as much as we did and we will see you all next year, same place, same month and same sport.
